Effie is 7 months!

Well, actually she is now 8 months, but I am just now getting her 7 month pictures up. She is wearing a Princess tutu that my friend Belinda gave to her. She is so adorable and had so much fun taking these pictures.

These are some CUTE kids!!!

Here are the pictures we took with all the grand kids on my side of the family. Maxyne (9) is a 50's diva (You can't see her costume very well because she is holding BIG baby Steele), Steele (3 weeks) is Superman, Jace (4) is Batman, R.J. (3) is the UPS man (he told his Mom that he wanted to be the guy who brings the boxes!!), Jesse( 4) is Spiderman, and Effie (7 months) is a not so happy spider (she does not like her costume). I am so glad we took the kids to get the pictures done. It was a lot of work to get them all to cooperate, but it was well worth it!

I framed the pictures and gave them to my Mom. She cried when I gave them to her...she loves them!

Big High Chair Girl!

Check this out...Effie is sitting in her high chair now. She has been ready for it for a while, but it was in the garage and it took us a while to get it cleaned up and ready for her. Finally it is ready. She loves it!

Future Mortician?? I don't think so...

Gabe's friend Megan from work got Effie this funny bib. I don't know if she'll be a mortician or not...We'll see.

A Pumpkin gets a Pumpkin!!!!

Our little family went to the pumpkin patch and we had a blast! We had fun picking out a pumpkin to carve (we haven't gotten around to carving it yet). Effie loved looking at all the pumpkins and all the props that were all around the pumpkin patch. We are looking forward to carving our pumpkin very soon!!

Dirt, Dirt, and More Dirt!

Andrew invited us all to Vegas for a 3 wheeling extravaganza! It was so much fun! Well, I had fun hanging out with Effie and watching everyone go on the 3 wheelers (I slipped and fell and got hurt pretty bad so I'm not up to doing anything like that right now). Gabe wasn't able to make it. We missed him. My Aunt Welene cooked us dinner in dutch ovens and it was soooo good!!! She even cooked dessert! It was the BOMB!!

Hey Hey Hey...Not so fast girlfriend!!

So the day Effie started sitting up I had Gabe lower the mattress in her crib so that she wouldn't fall out. Well...the day after he lowered the mattress, she STOOD UP IN HER CRIB!! I couldn't believe it! I was not expecting that at all! So Gabe had to lower the mattress again! The weird thing is that she did it this day (Oct 8th) and didn't do it again for a couple of weeks and the past couple of days she does it all the time!

Sittin' Pretty!!

Effie is sitting up now! She has been sitting up for about a month now. (I know...I am so behind in blogging!!) The best thing is how she sits up! She sits up like she's doing a sit up! It's so funny!!

Happy Birthday Iris!!

Effie's cousin, Iris turned 1!! She had a big birthday party at the park and it was so much fun! I can't believe she is already 1 year old! Time goes by way too fast!

Effie and I had lunch with Margo, Shannon, and Julie Corn a few weeks ago. We had so much fun! Effie sat in a high chair and was so good. The ladies all had so much fun playing with her!

Not So Happy Spider!

Ok, so about 2 months ago, I found this spider Halloween costume and fell in love with it so I bought it. I didn't try it on Effie, or even stop to think if she would be comfortable and happy in it...I just bought it! I was so excited! Well...BAD IDEA!! She hates the costume! She cries when we put it on her. We took her to Target with her cousins to take pictures in their Halloween costumes...Effie was not happy at all! She screamed! I feel so bad. I wish I would have tried it on her so I could have gotten something she is comfortable in. I learned my lesson! Even though she cries when she wears it, she still looks so cute! I will scan in the pictures we took at Target later, they are really cute!

Tooth Watch 08'

We are on tooth watch around our house! I know the last pictures I posted, you really can't see her tooth. Well, she has 2 teeth now! You can see them a little better in these pictures. They are still really short, but look closely and you should be able to see them!

Play TIME!!

Effie's favorite thing to do (besides watching Baby Einstein), is to roll around on the floor and play with toys...ALL DAY! We get on the floor and play, read books, watch Baby Einstein...and Effie rolls around everywhere...I don't roll around. lol.

Effie "Loves" The Kitty Cat!

Effie loves to pet the kitty...she also loves to tug his tail, pull his ear, and pull on his fur. He is so patient with her. When I see her bugging him, I stop her immediately (you never know how much an animal can tolerate). She loves the cat!

Oh...and she likes to pull my hair too!

Fun Times at Grammy's House.

The last weekend in September, we went to my Mom and Dad's house to go swimming. We had a really good time! My Mom found that rocking horse for Effie for $25! It is so cute! When you pull on it's ear, it makes horse sounds...very cute.
