Family FUN Day...

Yesterday we went to the beach and just hung out for a while. Effie loved it. We didn't go in the water, just played around in the sand.

Fun times...

New Kid on the Block.

We have a new baby in our family! Steele Jennings Meeks was born on September 11, 2008 to Andrew (my brother) and Kim Meeks...weighing in at 10 lbs 3 oz!! He's such a big guy! He is ADORABLE!! My sisters and I were able to go to Vegas and see the new baby. Gabe wasn't able to make it...:-( I was hoping he would be able to go so that he could hold Baby Steele, that way, he would be more accepting to the fact that I WANT ANOTHER ONE!!! I love babies! He knows we're having another one. :-) Anyway...I was hoping Steele would be born on my birthday, which is the 12th, but he just couldn't wait 4 more hours! We are so glad he is here and healthy! He is beautiful...Good job Kim and Andrew!

Me...emotional.

Big Boy Steele, home from the hospital at 26 hours old!!

Effie loves her new cousin!

Ok...now you have to hear Steele's cry...it is the cutest thing I have ever heard! We were waiting for Chelsea to bring his binky, so I took this little video of him crying.

Another little video of the BIG guy.

Little Miss Toothy Jane...

We have a tooth! Two days ago I put my finger in Effie's mouth and felt her bottom gum and BAM!!! I felt a tooth!!! It is so sharp, I have been calling her Jaws! I tried so hard to get a picture, but it was really tough. Just getting my finger in there to feel around is hard enough! So if you look at her bottom gum, the shark tooth (lol) is on the middle right of her bottom gum, where the gum looks a little white and swollen.

As you can see by these photos, getting pictures was not an easy task.

Scoot n' Stretch...

Effie is not crawling yet, but she sure does know how to get what she wants! Check out this video of her scooting to get her toys. She sees what she wants and she goes for it! She is so cute...I know I say that a lot, but I can't help it! She IS cute...right??

Six months goes by so fast!

Effie is already six months old!! These pictures are from her six month doctor visit. She weighs 17 lbs. 12 oz. She is such a happy baby girl! When the doctor examined her tummy, Effie started to laugh, it was so funny! Poor baby had to get 3 shots. She only cried for about 5 minutes. She's such a good girl. I hate to see her get her shots. It is so sad, but we have to do it.

Peek A Boo Daddy!

Gabe and Effie playing Peek A Boo...so very adorable! Let me tell you...this girl LOVES her Daddy! When he gets home from work, her face lights up and she has a smile from ear to ear!

Cutie Pie.

A week ago, my Mom had to have surgery; she had her gall bladder removed. She was soooo sick!! To make a very long story short, she was in so much pain...I had to come to her house for a week to take care of her and Chelsea (Chelsea had her wisdom teeth removed). My Mom kept getting more sick everyday. We were at her doctors office twice, and in the E.R. three times that week! We were finally able to get her admitted to the hospital and she was able to get her surgery. Her surgeon said it was such a chronic case, it was the worst case she had ever seen! My Mom had over 20 gall stones the size of dice! She has a huge 10 inch incision...Get Better Soon Mom!!

We were in the hospital so much that Effie was getting stir crazy so I finally found the time to have some play time outside.

What happened to my tiny baby??

Effie is getting SO big!! This is her first time sitting in the shopping cart. This was about 4 days ago. A couple of days before this she started sitting for a few minutes at a time, unsupported!! I can't believe it! Now she is sitting up for a really long time all on her own! Time has gone by so fast...anyway, look how cute she looks in the shopping cart!!

Oh...and we're trying to teach her how to drink out of a cup. She's doing alright. I think she gets about 50% of the water down, and the other 50% ALL OVER the place!
